Flare light effects are commonly used in the following applications

  • Enhancing logos and text -- as seen on TV news and sport show openers

Where flare presets light effects have been used?

  • Monkey Planet - This flare was used to create a dramatic sun in the movie Planet of the Apes.
  • Distant Quantum - Used to create the photon torpedo's in Star Trek movies.
  • Diffraction - This style of flare is commonly used on 70's style stage lights, they can be seen on Journey and Kiss album covers.
